Wildflower meadow at the door, a treeline of larch and stone pine, and evenings long enough to eat outside until ten.

Walking from the door
The bisse paths run level along the hillside and make an easy first day; the Plaine Morte glacier and the Wildhorn ridge are a serious one. In October the larches turn and the plateau empties.
A minimum stay of four nights applies in summer.

Long evenings on the terrace
The south terrace is where the summer stay actually happens: breakfast in the sun, the wood-fired oven in the evening, and the valley holding light until well after dinner.
The quiet half of the year
Summer weeks are easier to find, and the house is arguably better in them.
